University (DU) Neighborhood Highlights

Formerly called the Colorado Seminary, DU (University of Denver) was renamed when the school was moved from Downtown in 1886. From there, an entire community was build around the University to sustain the university life.

University life today keeps this neighborhood alive and vibrant, yet the quaint tree-lined streets, beautiful home architecture of Bungalow, Custom Builds and Mid-Century Modern keep the calm. A perfect balance.

Harvard Gulch Park, Newman Center and The Ritchie Center are just a few neighborhood attractions the residents can access easily. Want to watch the stars? Head to the Chamberlin Observatory. Whatever you enjoy, University neighborhood has something for everyone.
